  • Laura

    OWNER/FOUNDER

Hi, I’m Laura! Since a very young age, I have always had a huge love and passion for animals and decided there is nothing I would rather do than spend every moment possible with them.  Growing up, I was home-schooled and I owned and took care of all kinds of dogs, cats, fish and chickens.  Everyone always said the house was basically a zoo.  I have been doing in-home pet care for others since I was old enough to walk there and learned the art of personalizing each visit for each pet. I had the chance through homeschooling to explore what I really wanted to do, and learn the skills I would need later in life to achieve that. I believe that owning and caring for pets is one of the most fulfilling and meaningful experiences that people can have in their life. Animals give us true, selfless love and they show us what it’s like to be honest, forgiving and always be there when it matters. My mission now has become to create a team of people who share in my belief and are just as excited as I am to make new animal friends and give lots of loving, attentive care. It’s an honor to be on this adventure with everyone, human and furry, in the Captain Flosse family and I am so thankful God brought me here!

  • Suzi

    SENIOR PET CARE SPECIALIST

Hi, my name is Suzi and I've had a love and passion for animals my whole life. I've had my own numerous pets since I was young and have spent time volunteering at various animal shelters in California. It is a joy to wake up every morning and know that I will be spending my day with animals that I have come to love and adore. I am currently a cat mom to three male cats; Pancake, Bacon and Sausage, my little Breakfast Club. It is an absolute honor and privilege to be working with Laura and the rest of the gang. I am looking forward to taking care of your babies.

  • Lucia

    SENIOR PET CARE SPECIALIST

My name is Lucia and I’m the younger sister of the owner of this business, Laura! I’ve had cats for my whole life and I’ve had dogs since I was 4. I’ve always had a great love for animals and I find it awesome that I get to work with them as a job! Not only do I get to watch animals and walk dogs, but I get to have a personal bound with each one, as well. Each animal that I watch is unique in their own way, but equally a joy to watch and walk. I always try to be the best I can be for every animal and treat them all with the same amount of love and attention.

  • Abby

    PET CARE SPECIALIST

Hi my name is Abby and I’ve always had an immense love for all animals. I currently have a cat, Peri. I have experience handling just about every kind of animal from cute and fluffy chinchillas to slithering ball pythons and other snakes. Working with animals is one of the most rewarding things in life and I look forward to working with your pets.

  • Nathaniel

    PET CARE SPECIALIST

Hello! My name’s Nathaniel Taylor. I’m Laura’s brother. Working for Captain Flosse’s Pet Service is quite enjoyable and pet care is almost second nature to me, as pets have always been a part of my life. Growing up, my family liked to refer to our house as a zoo, because we always had multiple cats and dogs. My family still has many pets to this day, including chickens! Pets are awesome companions and hold a special bond with humans. My sister has a passion to strengthen those bonds and give pets the best quality of life possible and I’m so happy to be able to provide a helping hand!

  • Christa

    PET CARE SPECIALIST

Hi, my name is Christa and I'm a Kindergarten teacher and a big animal lover. Animals have always been an important part of my life. I grew up begging my mom for all sorts of critters, fostered many puppies and kittens throughout high school and college, and have found my way back to caring for animals. I have my own cat, Dewey, who is the ruler of the house. At school, we have a bearded dragon and a tank full of fish. I'm excited to care for your pets and learn about their personalities. They bring us so much joy!

  • Emily

    PET CARE SPECIALIST

Hi there! I’m Emily, and I have a huge love for animals, big and small. I am extremely passionate about pets and believe a home is not complete without them. Growing up, I always had a pet. After a full year of begging my mom to let us have a dog after not having pets for a while, my mom got me my dog Bailey. Bailey is the highlight of my day, and I love seeing how much other pets light up their owners’ lives. I’m currently a dog mom to both Bailey and Gizmo, a furry little ball of energy. I strive to treat every pet like I would treat my own, for they truly are one of the most special parts of life. Can’t wait to meet your little friend, furry or otherwise.

  • Kathy

    PET CARE SPECIALIST

Hello, my name is Kathy and I've spent many years in the corporate world and traveling for business. With that said, my overwhelming passion and heartfelt desire to help the significant growing number of animals and pets in need of finding their forever home never escaped me. A very good friend and I spent much of our spare time contemplating how we could help make a difference for as many unfortunate strays, abandoned, surrendered or abused animal's leading us to join forces to cultivate a plan between work, traveling and both being tenured loving pet-parents as well. We began our quest working with local veterinarians, smaller rescues, church communities and other networking outlets and began taking in a few dogs at a time addressing their outstanding health issues and needs along with dire spay and neutering efforts. Through our hard-work, determination and veterinarian assists our care-giver/fostering roles allowed many pets to find their forever homes❣️ I no longer travel and work PT which allows me to invest and share my time with other peoples "Best Friends" through walking and home visits at the well respected Captain Flosse's Pet Services. The owner Laura is a very kind and sincere person who has successfully achieved her dream and I'm happy I get to be of a part of it🐾 When I'm not at work I love spending time with my extra special side-kick Chloe💕

  • Brittany

    PET CARE SPECIALIST

My name is Brittany, and I’ve been an animal lover for all my life. How cool is it that I get to work with them now?! Growing up, my family always had dogs. Our first was a husky named Sammy; our second, a Brittany Spaniel/Golden Retriever rescue named Callie. They both made life so much better. :) A few years ago, I adopted that guy you see in my picture! His name is Mufasa (or Mumu, for short), and he’s a 9yr old, one-eyed orange tabby. And let me tell you, he has changed the way I feel about felines! He greets me at the door when I get home, he cuddles with me on the couch watching movies, he sleeps in bed with me. He is 100% a mama’s boy and I love him more than I ever thought possible. Animals do so much for us; they keep us company, they make us laugh, they love us unconditionally. I think it’s only fair that we give them the same love and care, as best we can, in return.

  • Jen

    PET CARE SPECIALIST

I am a wife and mother of two who enjoys being outdoors in all seasons and has a soft spot for God’s creatures. Our home has been blessed by the joyful noise and unconditional love of fur-family (dogs & cats) for decades. Rover, the tortoise, is the newest member of the crew.
I have volunteered at various animal related non-profits throughout my life, including shelters in Western Pennsylvania and upstate New York.   At present, I volunteer with Paws Across Pittsburgh, which is a local rescue, foster, and placement agency.  I am part of the transport team responsible for getting rescued dogs to their fosters, as well to/from the vet for spay/neutering.   If you see our Pup Bus on the road, be sure to wave!

  • Heather

    PET CARE SPECIALIST

Hi! My name is Heather, and I've been an animal lover from a very young age. My very first animals were two horses named Bunny and Little Red, and a cow named Milky Way. Taking care of large animals at such a young age, teaches you some valuable and amazing lessons. It was a lot of really hard work, but well worth it for all the love in return. Over the years came many dogs and cats- some rescues and some strays. Hamsters, Guinea pigs, and goldfish were always in the mix, too. I was always begging my mom and dad for the next pet. Luckily, I grew up with parents who loved animals, recognized my love of animals, and were always keen to help any animals in need. I'm a nurturer by heart, and believe it's because of them. This love of animals has followed me into adulthood, and I'm so happy I get to work doing something that I truly love and enjoy! In my personal life, I help love and care for Dixie-a mixed breed rescue dog from a kill shelter in the south, Wink-a calico rescue kitty, and my sister's new Maine Coone (who I'm holding in the above pic) named Priya. Laura and the the crew at Captain Flosse are truly exceptional individuals with the kindest hearts. When I met them, I just knew I wanted to be a part of their team. I feel so lucky to have found them, which gives me the opportunity to meet all of you your pets! 😊

  • Meg

    PET CARE SPECIALIST

My experience with Captain Flosse as both an employee and client has been wonderful.
As a special education teacher, I have time off from my job during the summer and
holidays so working with Captain Flosse is a great way to earn extra income especially
with a son as a freshman in college (Ohio University-OU-Oh Yeah!!) and a fifteen-year-
old daughter. I have always loved animals and grew up with pets. Currently we share
our home with two cats and one dog. Our dog Cupid is a sheepdog/boxer mix. I love
visiting all the furry (and feathery creatures) as a Captain Flosse Employee! I am
originally from Philadelphia and have also lived and worked in Washington, DC and
Nashville. TN. Aside from loving animals, my other interests include yoga, reading,
    music, hiking, and baking.

  • Ed

    PET CARE SPECIALIST

Hi there, I'm Ed, the patriarch of Captain Flosse Dog, if you will. It's been a joy to watch my daughter Laura's immense passion for animals become a business that has blessed so many pet owners. Our house has been a home to many animals which has helped me to better understand how to care for animals in a loving, compassionate way. When Laura needs a slot filled, she'll call me in from the bullpen and I am happy to assist. I always look forward to spending some time with pets.
