🐾Gus🐾

Put your paws together to celebrate our Pet of the Week, Gus! Mr. Gus Gus, as we affectionately call him, is the sweetest and goofiest Bernese Mountain dog around! We can't say enough good things about him, and we are always excited to see him on our schedules! Continue scrolling to learn more about this big, huge lovebug!

We get to see Gus weekly for 30 Minute Home Visits, 30 Minute Dog Walks or 1 Hour Home Visits. Abby, Lucia and Suzi are his main caretakers, but several other of our employees take care of him too. He knows and loves a bunch of our crew! :) Whenever we first get there Gus is always right behind the front door, waiting to give us his best hello wiggles and jumps! Sometimes he'll have a little excited tinkle too. He just can't contain his joy, haha! He's also a big fan of shoes of all kinds. As you can see by the pictures, he'll happily carry them around in his mouth and it's the cutest thing! Once we do our little chasing dance with him, we get him all leashed up and we head out the door for our walk

Gus enjoys the outdoors, and he is big into sniffing and investigating his neighbors’ yards. His best friend, named Louie, lives next door to him and we also get to take care of him and his sister Penny! They are Cocker Spaniels, and all bets are off when trying to keep Gus and Louie apart! Sometimes Gus has walk protests and makes it clear when he's ready to head home, by planting his face in the ground. It is very amusing! Once we head back inside, he immediately wants LOTS of playtime and cuddles, although he usually prefers the cuddles. Oftentimes he'll sit on our feet with his back towards us and will look up at us with the sweetest and purest eyes. He is such a beautiful, soft and loving pup and no matter how long the visits are, we never have enough time with him. He's certainly just the bestest boi around
