Put your paws together to celebrate our Pet of the Week, Lila! Lila is a very sweet older lady that we love taking care of! She is a German Shepard mix and it's always a pleasure seeing her delightful furry face when we come in! Continue scrolling to learn more about her

We get to see Lila several times a week for 15 to 20 Min Stop-in Home Visit and we always look forward to it! Laura and Suzi are Lila's main caretakers and they have said that they think she is so gentle and sweet! Since Lila is close to 15 years old, she doesn't need too much exercise, but she does enjoy some short walks. Sometimes they walk her for the whole visits and other times they walk her for some of it and then hang out with her inside the house

Whenever they first get there Lila is usually fast asleep on her favorite spot, which is a comfy bed. It doesn't take her long to wake up and get moving to head outside. While out on their walk, Lila does lots of sniffing and exploring around the neighborhood. She is also known for trying to snatch up and eat anything she can find on the street. She does love her street snacks, although we try our best to discourage it ;) Once Laura or Suzi some back inside with her, they like to give her some space as she isn't always too keen on too many pets and cuddles. She will come over for them, in her own time. Once she gets her fill of love and attention, it's back on the bed and naptime for her. She really is a good girl, and we can't wait to see her again soon!
