🐾Fred🐾

Put your paws together to celebrate our Pet of the Week, Fred! He is a Basset hound, so naturally he is quite vocal about his wants and needs and we think it's so entertaining! Fred is sure to meet us at the door and will follow us right out into the backyard, where he inspects the yard with lots of sniffs. Continue scrolling to learn more about this long-eared boy!

We get to spend time with Fred whenever his mom is hard working at her job. She usually schedules 45 Minute Home Visits. Fred is a rescue, as is his two other siblings, named Oscar and Sassy. We love rescues and we're so glad he has a happy home life! He is very friendly and always enjoys all the pets and attention he can get. Fred and his siblings have 24/7 access to a gated backyard through a doggy door and he loves going in and out as much as he can. He's a big fan of the outdoors and all the interesting smells!

Jen, Lucia and Brittany are Fred's main caretakers and they usually start the visit by spending time with him in the backyard. After that, they come back inside and prepare all three dinners for the pups. Fred gets along well with his brother and sister, but sometimes he and Oscar get into scuffles over each other's food. It's nothing that a few yummy and distracting treats can't solve though! Fred's ears are so long that they often get in his bowl while he's eating, and we think it's so cute! Once everyone is done eating, we get them fresh water and give them all a few treats, which Fred never passes up! For the last bit of the visit, Fred loves to get some extra pets and cuddles. He's a wonderful fellow and we're looking forward to seeing him again soon!
