🐾Pepper🐾

Put your paws together to celebrate our latest Pet of the Week, Pepper! We all can remember seeing this black 5 year old Pug some time ago when he appeared with his fawn pet-sibling Tug, a previous POTW. Now Pepper has graced the blog with his wiggly behind as well! Let's wiggle down with him to learn about lil Pepper!

Captain Flosse Dog's team adore this little duo and are always excited to care for Tug and Pepper whenever their humans have plans. Crew Lucia, Suzi, Christa and Meg continue to have the good fortune in seeing Pepper and Tug more often than other staff, but many are acquainted with this fun duo. During our pet care home visits of 45 minutes to an hour, we feed Pepper and Tug food from their own special dishes, go for a walk to potty, and provide lots of attention, playtime, and snuggling.

Sometimes Pepper likes to make a game out of getting ready for a walk, so we usually keep their small harnesses on trying to outwit the great Dr Pepper and Uncle Tug! Pepper keeps his energy burning low all day long and sometimes doesn't want to go too far on walks passing just a few houses then safely back home. He perhaps prefers the fenced in area in his backyard.

In contrast to his elder, Pepper's energy and enthusiasm always immediately reveals that he's more of a paw-ty animal, and even in his down time seems to be in a constant state of doing something, from neverending games with a ball to chewing on a bone or his cozy bedthings. His playful energy just doesn't stop!

Pepper enjoys playing all by himself, with the Capt Flosse crew, and with Tug for some good old fashioned pug wrestling! It's squirmy, it's rambunctious, it sometimes sounds like a slew of other animals. Pepper is especially vocal when playing, and we sometimes think there's some dinosaur mixed with his pug ancestry. We will never know! Take comfort in the fact that Pepper is a pet who eventually wants snuggles just as much as we do!
